Definition : Service is doing something nice or helpful for someone else. Summary: An inventor builds a wooden robot and a log Princess for a childless King and Queen. The King, Queen, wooden robot, and log Princess love each other very much. The Princess has a secret. Every night she turns back into a log. Usually the wooden robot wakes her up in the morning, and she turns back into a Princess. But one morning he forgets. This begins a series of events in which the Princess, now just a log, gets thrown out. The wooden robot starts searching for the Princess in piles of logs and eventually finds her. Unfortunately, both the robot and the Princess have bad luck and can’t get back to the palace. Eventually, the beetles who once lived with the robot save the pair and the family is reunited and very happy. Lesson Objectives:

Students practice the saying, “what you give out comes back.” And: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Let’s practice both of these sayings until we have it memorized!
