Definition of Cooperation for 4 - 7 year olds: Cooperation happens when two or more people help each other to make something good happen. It can also apply to animals or parts of a whole that need each other and work together. An example of this is the human body – all the parts work together to make you healthy. In a nutshell: Together we can do more. Summary: Tia learns about what not to do when she fails to listen to her teammates during a treasure hunt. Because she thinks she knows best, she ignores the suggestions of her teammates, and the result is they lose. Her team members are disappointed and Tia apologizes. Eventually they get a second chance to find a way to work together. Lesson Objectives:

Students understand the importance of listening to one another, especially when working with a team.
Teachers guide students in listening games and activities. Students practice repeating word for word what the other person says.
