  1. Students are able to memorize facts about the life of bees.
  2. Students grow their appreciation for the insect world, and are curious to learn more. 
  Guiding Questions: 
  1. Have you ever seen a bee? Where did you see it and what was it doing? Next time you see a bee, stay very still and watch it for a few minutes, but don’t touch it! 
  2. How many wings does a bee have? Why do you think it needs wings? 
  3. What do bees get from flowers and where do they take it? 
  4. What do bees make out of what they get from the flowers? 
  5. Where do bees live? 
  6. Can you dance in a figure eight? This is how bees show other bees where the flowers are. 
  7. Where do bees store the nectar plaster? 
  8. Do you like to eat honey? Do you eat it with something else, like toast? 
  9. Bees are very different from you. But there are some things that are the same. Can you think of any? 
  10. Look at some flowers and see if you can find the pollen on them. What does it look like?
