Guiding Questions for Parents.

Definition: To be hopeful means to believe that something good can happen, even when it doesn’t look like it, or when it turns out differently than expected. In short: Believe that something good can happen. Summary: The subtitle of this book is “growth mindset” - this refers to the primary message of the story. It means that we are always growing and just because we can’t do something yet, doesn’t mean that we’ll never be able to. Enna has a magical dream experience that helps her visualize her future. She sees many possibilities for her future self. In each one she is a successful woman who is confident and capable. This gives her the motivation to try something difficult. Lesson Objectives:

Students will be prompted by their teacher to share: (a) what they’ve already learned to do since they were babies, and (b) what is difficult for them now and how they will go about overcoming challenges of learning what they need to learn.

“Don't say no when you have a chance to do something new” - what does this mean to you?
