Guiding Questions for Parents.

Definition: To be hopeful means to believe that something good can happen, even when it doesn’t look like it, or when it turns out differently than expected. In short: Believe that something good can happen. Summary: A sheep longs to be able to fly like the birds. She collaborates with a wolf, as they dream and plan together to do the impossible. Through trial and error, and never giving up, they finally succeed in making their dream come true. Lesson Objectives:

Students will remember that anything is possible as they face new experiences and adjustments with a positive, can-do attitude.

Guiding questions:

What did the sheep see that gave it the idea to make something?
Why do you think the wolf was surprised to hear the sheep’s idea?
How did they start to make their machine?
What happened when they tried using the balloons?
What do you think this means, “Only those who dream will learn to fly?
When you hear the words “anything is possible”, what do you think about?
When you hear the words “never give up”, what do you think about? Can you tell us about a time when you didn’t give up?
Why do you think it’s important to not give up when you’re trying something new?
Ask your family members or teacher to tell you about an experience they had when they didn’t give up.
Talk about something you’d like to do, who you need to help you do it, and anything else you need to make it happen.
