Definition: Integrity means being honest, and responsible and respectful all the time, whether or not people can see what you’re doing.  In short: Do the right thing, even when no one's looking.   Summary: Integrity Ninja shares stories about situations in which he makes bad choices without considering the consequences of his actions. After lying a few times and talking with Humble Ninja, he realizes that cheating is not okay. Humble Ninja advises him: “if you make promises, keep them, and do what you say you will do…be honest…that’s integrity.” Integrity Ninja makes up for his mistakes - he admits to cheating and lying. He is determined now to live with integrity. Why? Because it feels a lot better!    Lesson Objectives:
  1. Students discuss the word “integrity” and memorize this short definition -  keep your promises and be honest. 
  Guiding Questions: 
  1. Integrity Ninja is dishonest in the beginning of the story. What does he do? 
  2.  What mistake does Integrity Ninja make at the library? 
  3. Does Integrity Ninja follow the directions for the art project? What does he do and what was wrong about it?  
  4. Humble Ninja tells Integrity Ninja that he has been cheating. How does that make Integrity Ninja feel? 
  5. What advice does Humble Ninja give Integrity Ninja? 
  6. What definition does Humble Ninja give the word “integrity?”
  7. How does Integrity Ninja make up for his mistakes? 
  8. Do you check out books at the library? Do you have a library card? If not, ask your family for help getting one.
  9. Draw a picture from your imagination. Then trace a picture. Which do you like better and why? Ask you parents which one they like better.
  10. Memorize the sentence: “Keep your promises and be honest, that’s integrity.”
